The paintings I have left in Mikulov are both in their form and content related to my previous work, yet they match the theme of the symposium, Esprit Vacuum, and the much debated perfume, scent. A communication vacuum occurs among the members of a family watching TV; the kitchen spaces might represent the heart, warmth and smell of home.

Mikulov was saturated with smells, sun and beautiful wine. The fundament of this “perfume” was the place itself, and the great team of organizers. After my head faded away (or wine did from my head?), the heart unfolded, just like the heart of all those at the symposium, art and communication. As this was a very good perfume, the various scents blended harmoniously throughout the whole time, creating unforgettable experiences.

As a guest of the symposium, I am very glad for the opportunity to spend part of the summer in such a beautiful place with such nice people. The time I spent here was a great asset for me in every possible sense.
